    Sunday's forecast

CoolThis is a day of hell for Floridians. Irma is supposed to hit the Keys this afternoon and move its way northward from there. Florida will bear the brunt of this, but it's supposed to head as far north as Indiana.
And then there's Hurricane Jose, currently ravaging the Caribbean.
The last major storm was Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Before that, the last one(Category 3 or above)was in 1921, and before that, 1848. Not an everyday occurrence, thank God. Fewer people to evacuate on those dates.

As for me, same old same old. In bed at 1:30, up at 9:40. A beautiful Sunday morning here. Still trying to wake up. Some new/old stuff on YouTube. I went back to the Aebersold playalongs, and to one of my favorites: Sammy Nestico. Another nice calm day..
I have a guitar lesson at 1 today. Always a fun hour, goes by before you know it. And then nothing until Thursday, when I rehearse with the Samba Llamas, for a gig on Saturday afternoon.
As it turns out, I've got gigs on two Saturday afternoons. Saturday or Sunday afternoon are perfect times to play a gig, as far as I'm concerned. Earlier is better as I get older..
And that's all my news for this Sunday morning. Half down on my first cup o'Joe, ready for a refill. Thanks for tuning in, whoever-you-are. More later.
