Today is a workday of sorts. I have a job at the State Fair from 7 to 10(see the Gigs page for more information if interested). Getting there will be a minor expedition with the Fair traffic and all, but should be an enjoyable 3 hours. Most gigs are fun once you're there and set up.
My birthday was Friday. 64 years old. I got 175 birthday greetings on Bookface, and one call from a character I used to work with at unemployment. What with a busy, noisy day today, I kept things quiet on Friday. And yesterday, to some extent. I get overloaded by excess noise and excess people, so I've learned to conserve my energy. I'm an ambivert. So shoot me.
Bought myself Band in a Box for my birthday. Haven't done much with it yet, but it's very easy to use. Just a question of learning a few procedures. I also bought myself a new digital camera so I can continue to post stuff on my YouTube page. One new post there in the past couple days.
YouTube, and the web in general, are great tools for us ambiverted types who burn out on the noise and crowds, and thus don't play out all that much, but still want to communicate with folks through our music. So in lieu of live gigs, you can always hear me on YouTube or Soundclick, not to mention iTunes and the countless digital companies out there.
That seems to be all the news fit to print. Thanks for reading it. Happy Sunday to you! I'm outa here. More later.
