    Sunday

Cool Ah, the start of another day. In bed at 1:19, up around 8:30. Went right to sleep, and had the usual array of dreams. This day started off bright and sunny, and before I could write "bright and sunny", it started to cloud up. More rain. Fun fun.
No matter how cloudless the sky may be, I always roll up my windows. Central Illinois weather is some mercurial shit, and can go from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye. Yesterday, I did some grocery shopping and left the windows where they were. Got a text from my neighbor, maybe a half hour later, that my windows were down and it was about to rain.
She saved me a wet ass. Not only that, but the embarrassment and discomfort of driving around for about the next week in a damp car. Thank you thank you!
Music news. A gig this coming Friday at Robbie's. Three in August and one in September. I'm getting tired of playalongs, at least the ones offered. Not hitting that as hard, but I am continuing to practice. A friend, whom I see at my gigs and now at the Fit Club, encouraged me to start writing again.
Composing music is probably the most rewarding of my various musical pursuits. Trying to get it played is quite often a royal pain in the ass, but the actual making of the music is big fun. I've gotten burned out on playing gigs, but I've never felt that way from writing music.
My friend is right. Getting back into writing is something I would do well to pursue. It's fulfilling in a way that playing is not. Actually, the same thing can be said about performing music. Both are needed for balance, but especially the writing part.
      So I'm working on it.
This is probably enough reading matter for you. Thanks for reading, whoever-reads-this.Happy Sunday to you. Ich bin outa here. More later.
