    Happy cloudyass Sunday

UndecidedThe skies are dark and cloudy. Not what I like to see first thing in the morning(or for that matter at any subsequent point in the day), so we're off to a shitty start.
Still, this is one of my favorite parts of the day. Waking up with that first cup of Morning Joe and typing something on my news page.
Music News. I finally managed to get into some home-recording yesterday. 3 new pieces, one of which is something pretty cool. Might be a good tack for today.
My YouTube page has a couple solo things on it of late. I've gone from 33 subscribers down to 32, then up to 34 and now back to 33. What the fuck- you can't please everybody. But I have one new friend on there. I think they're from Russia, judging by the fact that they use a different alphabet. Some nice exchanges with them in the comment section.
No ear worms this morning. A bit of Herman's Hermits' Henry VIII, but more wrapped around a memory. Something about me and various cousins going to see a movie- I think A Hard Day's Night. Early 60s. Herman's Hermits were big around that time. One of my cousins was elated, so happy to be included in something. I got the impression that it didn't happen all that often. Felt glad for him and sorry for him  at the same time.

So much for memories. That's one that always stuck with me. Back here in late October 2017, it's a dark and cloudy day but a peaceful one. And hopefully a productive day in one respect or another.
Anyway, these new home-recorded things will soon be on my Soundclick page. Haven't done much with it in some time, but there's a ton of stuff in there. Most all of the CDs I've made(except for the cover tunes)and a whole lot of not-ready-for-prime-time sonic experiments.
Now on Cup #2 of Morning Joe. A little more with-it. I'm remembering when 'with-it' meant 'hip'. Gotta be early-mid 70's. National Lampoon had a nicely sarcastic piece about a book that was "bittersweet, infused with the with-it dialogue of youth".
Made me laugh anyway. Okay I've got to stop with these memories or I'll never get out of here. Thanks for reading, whoever-reads-this. Happy Sunday to you! More later.
