    An Inclement Friday

CoolI'm actually on my second cup o' Joe this morning. The first was used in listening to yesterday's cuts and a few more on YouTube. Been a busy boy recording and uploading stuff.
A sound engineer around here, with whom I've worked or just been on the same gig, recently told me after listening to some of my wares on YouTube that "you're certainly not a perfectionist". And it's true. I do leave in flubbed notes once in a while- but only if the rest of the cut was good enough that it'd be a shame not to post it.
I do have standards, but they're different. They have more to do with the feel of the tune, and the things played improvisationally rather than getting every note in place. I do try to get all the notes right, but if I missed one it's not an automatic game breaker. When all is said and done, I'd take a cut with a clam in it(provided there's no train wreck)and plenty of heart and groove over a "perfect" one with no inspiration- or shitty solos.
Shitty solos. For some reason, that's funny.
Anyway, it's a dark and cloudy day out there. Makes you appreciate the nice sunny ones. Hoping for more guitar work today. Whatever works(see preceding for my criteria there..)will be posted up on YouTube. Several new ones from yesterday are now up there- waiting for you!
As always, thanks for reading, whoever-reads-this. More later.
