    Friday

Cool A sun n' clouds kinda day. Bright and sunny one minute, cloudy the next. Just about time for Indian Summer,  my favorite season-within-a-season. Not too hot, not too cold. What the Swedes would call lagom, meaning just right.  With this heat, my house has been either an oven or an icebox. I was up this morning a little earlier than I'd have liked(the sunlight before sunrise), and I think it was the cold that woke me up.
       Bitch bitch bitch..
Doing fine this morning, if just a little groggy. Coffee should take care of it.
Oh good! Mr Sun is back out. No, I'm sorry, he's gone again. One of those variable kindsa days today. Welcome to Illinois.(Wait, he's back again..)
I had a good guitar day yesterday. Was able to get several sessions in, which is the way I like to do it. Smaller portions, smaller bites. Each session usually runs about an hour.  So on a good day, I might get two or three good hours in. I should probably work on extending that, but three hours is always better than no hours. Progress is still being made.
Recorded a couple things yesterday, and most of them work! So I'll be uploading to YouTube today, and maybe even coming up with more stuff. It's a wonderful feeling hearing things coming together in your playing after all this work. And it does take work, at least for me..
Sooner or later, I'd like to make another album. Maybe a solo guitar record, maybe a trio or quartet. My existing CDs still sell, but it's more from streams- and the occasional download. So I watch the progress, which can be painfully slow. Still, progress is progress. Sooner or later..
That's all I've got for you for now. The Steve Jobs biography(by Karen Blumenthal)is recommended reading. I know more about Steve Jobs and Apple computers than I did. Several more to read at the moment. Gotta finish Fire and Fury, and then there are two others: Bob Woodward's book Fear, and an account of 911 called Against all Enemies.
I hate politics but am becoming more politically aware- or am at least trying to increase my awareness. The pettiness and divisiveness is irritating as hell. But I'm hanging in there.
Okay, this is once again probably wayyy too much to read. Thanks for wading through it. Happy Friday to you! I'm outa here. More later.
