    Saturday

Cool Good morning. Drinking that first cup of Morning Joe as usual. And as usual, trying to get it together here first thing in the morning. I have a regimen for my morning: feed cats/make coffee/take meds/ do meditation/turn on computer and drink coffee. I'm at that last 'duty'.
Whether I got a great night's sleep, or a so-so night's sleep, or no sleep, the coffee seems to revive me. The past three nights have been so-so. I prefer every night to be a great night's sleep, but so-so I can work with. So-so plus coffee works. If I ever gave up coffee, I'd have a hell of a time in the morning, no matter how I slept.
Music news. I have a new guitar! It's an Epiphone, don't know the model name or number, but it's basically a Gibson ES-335. Cherry red, unlike my Gretsch(also a 335 design)which is more of a burgundy. Got it from a local pawn shop. No case yet, but I got such a good deal on the price I can't complain. So it was a little bit like taking a baby home from the Hospital.
Epiphone, like Kalamazoo and Kramer, is a subsidiary of Gibson. I think there's another one but can't think of it right now(more coffee...) Gibson guitars, because of the brand name, are usually horribly overpriced anymore. Buying an Epiphone or Heritage guitar as opposed to a Gibson is like living in Brooklyn or Queens instead of Manhattan.
If I ever found myself stinky-rich, I would live in Manhattan, or at least have a residence there.(And have a Gibson guitar or two).  But I live in Podunk Illinois, population 117,000, so I'll stick to my budget. Epiphones or Heritages are fine with me..
Other music news. A possible gig on December 21st at Robbie's. I'd meant to book something there for November, but just didn't get to it. So I'll be making a few phone calls over the weekend. Hopefully it will fly..
I'll probably get going on this new axe over the weekend. And it will take its rightful place in new YouTube videos. Still working quite a lot with my favorite virtual bassist Mr Sunnybass, and trying to do more solo guitar videos.
That's all I've got for now. Thanks for reading. Happy Saturday to you. Ich bin outa here. More later.
