A mellow Saturday
This is the first sunny day we've had all week. I'll take it.
Yesterday was a day of reading and guitar practice. I seem to be out of my slump, as far as that goes. Time returneth to me. Still goofing with playalongs as part of my practice routine, and I'm jelling a lot better with the bass and drums. I might go so far as to say I'm proud of my time on some of these makeshift YouTube home-recordings, particularly the most recent ones.
Got a gig next Saturday, at Montvale Estates, and another one there on 12/2. It's an assisted living facility, a sort of 'halfway house' between one's former residence and the nursing home. I guess I could say I'm on the convalescent circuit as far as my upcoming gigs.
My calendar is starting to fill back in, with one this month, one next month, and a whopping 2 gigs in December. That's about as whopping as I think I want to go.
I got the word whopping from a Men's Magazine, which I viewed as an adolescent. One of the models, one Darby Bridges, was so described- at least her top measurement.
Too much information? Naah. Anyway, it's a beautiful day out there and a not-too-shabby one in here. Off to do Lumosity games for the day, another of my morning rituals. Thanks for stopping in, whoever-reads-this. Happy Saturday to you! More later.
