Good morning, whoever-reads-this. Another rainy night last night, but a much better night's sleep. I remember from my days having a dog how agitated he'd get on those rainy nights- and he especially liked the thunder and lightning. NOT!
Cats, on the other hand, tend to sleep through it all. As long as they're inside, they could care less. Sometimes there's much to learn from them. Ahh, my teachers..
This is a busy day, at least for me. Preparing for an implant, so I go to the Dentist's office and have them remove some upper bridgework. Then I drive all the way across town to the Oral Surgeon's office off Sangamon Ave. This meeting takes about 10 minues. And then it's back to the Dentist's office to have them put my teeth back in. And then I should have a couple hours to myself.
This evening is a rehearsal with the Samba Llamas for a job this Friday. At least it starts early- 6:30- so we can get in and get it done. I don't particularly like rehearsing, so as short and sweet as possible is good. Remembering old band days where there was all kinds of dillydallying- driving around the block to get high, and other 'preparations', so that it was at least an hour before you got down to practicing.
And some degree of busyness is necessary, at least every so often. With too much time on my hands I start to turn into Jack Torrance. These busy days keep him at bay.
I guess that was all I had. Thanks for reading, whoever-reads-this. Happy Tuesday to you. More later.
