    Another Peaceful Monday

Cool Good morning, whoever-reads-this. It's Monday morning. Most of the world is off doing whatever they've gotta do. Our jobs at the unemployment office usually started off with a bang. Hit the ground running, so to speak. This is a jarring way to start one's workweek, which made you dread Monday all the more.
I love Mondays now that I'm retired. Unless there's business I absolutely have to handle right then, it's now a quiet day. Strangely enough, I'm probably more scheduled now as a retiree, but it's my schedule- administered by me. On Monday, like most any other day, I ease into whatever duties I may have. Beats the hell outa that Carpe Diem shit..
Music news. Nothing on the books until the 20th of this month. Another Robbie's date. Still practicing, and this should be a pretty good day for it. Some new stuff on my YouTube page, all guitar & bass duos. I've even got another one to post.
I mentioned the other day about having done a lot of guitar & bass gigs. Lots of fun, but you really have to watch your time- at least I do!- with just you and the other person. With one particular player, the one with whom I've done all the duo gigs, we get a good groove going. He pulls a little and I push, so between us we make good time.
So it's the same thing with this virtual player on YouTube. Gotta watch the time, make sure we're always aligned. Despite those caveats, it's a lot of fun. Work, but fun..
Still watching the Ken Burns documentary on the war in Vietnam. Informative. Enlightening. Heart-wrenchingly sad in places. I'm about halfway into it. Coming up on the Nixon years.
This is more than enough verbiage for anyone to read. Thanks for reading, whoever-reads-this. Happy Monday to you if it's not too much of a contradiction in terms. Ich bin outa here. More later.
